Angry Bird Halloween!
Happy Halloween!! I made both costumes. I did have instructions for the jelly fish, but not the Angry Bird. Both were a hit while trick or treating this year!

Ever put down a book and not be able to find it?
I started to read Dean Koontz Relentless and got up to pick up a bit before bed. Now I comeback to the bed and start to get cozy again only to find that I have no idea where I put the book down at! Grrrr!!! How does a book get up and walk away?! Now how can a frustrated me, get to sleep???!!!
No direction, no motivation for blogging.
Blogging has taken such a backseat to my life lately (because my life is rock star quality..haha!) I have very much become of the idea that if you are enjoying your life so much, why are you online? This also applies to people who constantly post on Facebook about new things they just bought, how expensive something was, or how wonderful their party life is. Dude, just live it already.
NOT at all saying that bloggers have no life. I personally, just have started to value my time even more so that I feel moments spent on the computer putting a post together or editing photos, is time away from my 2 and 9 year old's...not to mention my amazing family and friends.
I have deperately looked to find ways to share in smaller less editing ways. Which is why my posts get smaller and smaller. I still love blogging, but am trying to make it even less invasive and more about really sharing.----yes, I know im having a moment here.

Extreme Couponers are not real....
So, as I am sure you all have seen the TLC show Extreme Couponers....no? I use to use coupons from time to time, but have picked up more within the last few months. Was it because of the show? No. I had not seen it until a couple of weeks ago. I hate going to the store and having cashiers say something like "oh youve been watching that show" No, loser, I am not an idiot sheep that does stuff because I see it on TV. Urgh! Ok---rant done...sort of. I coupon because it just makes sense. I love staying home with my kids, and if couponing helps...I am all for it.
So what about the normal couponer??
Okay, so we can get a few items free if the coupon world happens to align correctly with the weekly ads or clearance items. Doubling coupons in Houston??? Not so much...
Not too fair for us big city folks...Kroger recently revamped their policy stating they no longer would be doubling or tripling coupons anymore in the greater Houston area. This is old news to Houston area avid couponers, but non the less, its whats going on. There is also most often a limit the stores allow you to purchase per transaction as well...."limit 4" for example. Not sure how in the heck the Extreme Couponers get around this...
Randall's doubles coupons...but their prices are high to begin with!! Where is the savings in that? Please...we are not stupid and can add.
Some stalker coupon obsessed hoarder is wiping out my local CVS every freaking Sunday!! By the time the regular couponers show up on Monday morning...there is nothing left. :(
So in conclusion...most people are not able to buy thousands of dollars worth of product for $5 due to smart restrictions and rules from the grocery stores and manufacturers issuing the coupons.
Please TLC!!! Stop this madness so we can all get back to our "normal" couponing lives!
Sooooo what are your thoughts???

Random "Urgh" rant...
Frustration is something that is sooooooo unavoidable when dealing with people you love. They do the craziest stuff and make the dumbest decisions and all you can do is sit in the corner with your feelings hurt. Whatever.
Do you have a family member who seems to forget the fact that you have been there for them from day one, and will ALWAYS have their back? No matter who we marry, what kids we have, or what interests we may have, we will always love them....
Please don't take the ones that are really your "crew" for granted. If you do, you will be the only one in the end...lonely.
(Pic has nothing to do with post!! hahaha!!)

Wagon assembly FAIL in the backyard! Joy!
The Warden finally put our wagon together (the kids have had it since x-mas)
We put it together only to find that 2 of the little red caps for the wheels are bent! I guess I will be calling to see if we can get replacements (as I jot it down on my looooong procrastination list)
We (p-bear) actually put the whole freaking thing together and were pulling halfway down the street when the wheel came loose and popped off...nice. Way to kill our happy moment Little Tikes! har har....just kidding...kind of.

Pretty little crafter
Just wanted to share a wipes case that I made for myself. A little more tedious with the glue gun then I thought it would be, but I believe that after a couple of times, it gets easier to gauge the glue and fabric/ribbon placement.
I am tempted to buy cases and make more just for fun!

Wherever inspiration takes you...
I use to think that it was lame for stay at home moms to take up activities such as sewing, crafting, scrap booking, etc., until I myself became that mom. I am not sure what the deal is, but I find myself wanting to create all sorts of stuff from tutu's to customized wipe cases. I am trying desperately to figure out my moms sewing machine, and seem to have it pretty much under control but cannot for the life of me figure out why when I put my presser foot down, the fabric continues to bunch up and jam. The sewing machine shop said that it would cost $90 to look at it. I could buy a new one for that much!
I now find myself in the market for a combo embroidery and sewing machine. Hey, if you are going to do it up, do it up big right?
Anyway, I will continue to wait patiently for Brother to send me a machine to review! Wouldnt that be freaking awesome? Following a newbies journey with the machine?? One can wish right?

Being a rock star is hard work...
Last time I checked I was a rock star...not the celebrity style, but the mommy style. To someone I am the most awesome singer, cook, and cuddler of all time! I am a movie star, puppeteer, actor, chicken dancer, tickler, and chaser! To someone, I am the bravest, strongest, prettiest, and most talented. To someone I am the queen of apple juice and the princess of the diaper bag. Someone thinks that I know how to do everything and know all the answers. To someone, I am a rock star!

Taking up a suzie home maker hobby
I have been seeing and buying tons of these cute t-shirts with tie appliques for little boys and tots and have been dying to figure out how to make them. Well...lucky me, my mom owns a Kenmore sewing machine that is a tad dated, but if you have seen the sewing machines today they have not really changed that much. Figuring out the threading seems to be the most confusing at this point. I would like pointers!!
Anyone know what type of basic material I might need to get started? I would like to do the tie applique on a toddler t. I will show you how its done as I work through it. Here are some links where you can see what types of shirts I will be making.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/23105482/2tnavy-fine-jersey-t-shirt-with-an
I love simple shirts with fun statement pieces on them, and it just stood to reason that the simple applique style would be best. Soooooo you will get to join me in the next couple of weeks as I get together what I need and set the sewing machine up and ready to go!!!
And leaving you a totally unrelated picture of my kiddos!

Because I am random...
Why would someone friend you on FB only to turn around and defriend you?? It's creepy, and makes me paranoid! Stop it!
This is the gorgeous and yummy Tres Leches cake to celebrate mothers day!
This weekend was beautiful and I spent most of it at home on the couch. Funny story...The Warden finally put together the kids Little Tikes wagon, and I decided to take it for a spin with both kiddos strapped in. About half way out, I hear this dragging sound...the freaking wheel feel off! (thinking to self) How the heck am I going to drag of carry this monstrosity of a wagon back home??! Bean refused to get out by the way! I decided to send Monkey back to get The Warden while Bean and I stood stranded on the side of the road!! It was hilarious, although you really had to be there!! hahaha!!!
Wondering if this timeout spot is really working...

Dude, what the heck happened?
Because I am random...
Its freaking hot in Houston today!
I bought new brightly colored socks today...okay my mom bought them for me!
I made baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn on the cob, but I only ate the mashed potatoes.
Bean loves Ghost Adventures...is that bad?
There is this Greek yogurt commercial with a cow/bull drenched in yogurt, and it grosses me out.

The art of egg painting.
Yes, we painted eggs early this year. We needed an art activity and this seemed to be the most obvious! We started off the day realizing that The Warden had eaten all of the eggs that were originally to be used for decorating, so we took a trip to Kroger to buy more! Exciting...I know, dont envy me.
We used washable Crayola paint and just brushed it on. This is actually a great idea for people who like to eat the eggs...the paint washes right off!
Here are the pics! You will love my Spanish ads that I used for protecting the table against the paint...and Bean.

More pictures of the splended event called life.
I just want to start by saying that sharing pictures is a million times easier then sharing words. I am thinking about a blog makeover...something simple...like me, yeah right!
