Life and it's challenges

Hello friends!

Sorry, for being MIA. Looks like I will be reduced to posting only once a week now. With work and the homeschooling, the moments left open for freetime, I would much rather spend hanging out then on the computer.

Will I still share my ridiculous moments and hilariously strange moments? Of course...they will just be spaced out a little bit more.

Thank you for all the great readers and fellow blogger support! You guys rock!

If I thought about who might be reading...

I would never post...you might even say...I would be embarassed!

My life is sometimes unglamorous! Yes, I know, its difficult to believe, but its true. (snicker and snort)

I often do not wear makeup aside from concealer. My hair is seldom straightened anymore, unless I am actually going somewhere. I gain ridiculous amounts of weight while prego, and could easily be mistaken for an oompa loompa. I am a towering 5 feet tall. My eyes are small and without makeup often seem to disappear. My favorite thing to wear are my American Eagle blue jeans with the hole on the right thigh, a white tank with my pink cropped sweater, and my black converse with bright pink sparkle laces.

I firmly believe that less is more, although my mom would seriously disagree. Her favorite words to me are "you need lipstick."

When I think about who might be reading...I get red in the face. I often don't realize what an intimate glimpse into my personal life, I actually give via Free2bMommy. <--insert gulp.

I am such an over sharing punk.

Where are my private thoughts...Friday ADHD Moment.

Pic from www.Sodahead.com
So, in case you have noticed, I have not been sharing my usual loooong sometimes embarassing random posts recently. Lately, I have found myself heading to bed early and scribbling my thoughts down in a journal that I have kept next to my bed for years and seldom use. I can honestly say that I have had more personal things to share that are better left on paper collecting dust under my bed.

Who would have thought that homeschooling would be sooooo hard! Not hard as in the knowledge, but hard as in the time management and commitment to planning.

Bean loved his X-Mas Elmo Pj's so much that he is already wearing them...

Am I the only one who hates calling customer service for just about anything? They freaking annoy the crap out of me! "For bla bla bla, press 3" "If you know you 9 digit account number please enter it now" "Did you say bla bla bla?" "Im sorry, you have entered an invalid selection" "To repeat this menu press or say yes"

I ate all of my kids kit-kats from their Halloween loot...im so ashamed!

A Bean and a Birthday!

The trick and the not so yummy treat!

The hubby and I went out this past Saturday, and let me tell you, as a home schooling mother, I get little time to myself. I am not complaining, but I love halloween and look forward to it every year. How freaking awesome is it to be anyone you want to be for one night, and not have everyone think you are nutts? I dont go out often anymore, and my husband and I had about 3 parties lined up to attend on Saturday. Well, I will just say that we had to cut the freaking night short, because my hubbys drinks got a head of him...waaaaay ahead if him.

He motioned to me, that it was time to leave the first party and head over to the others, and I was bummed but totally okay with it at the same time. We said our goodbyes and got in the car...me driving of course. I said "okay, where to?" He said, "home, im freaking tired!" I was beside myself in frustration! I was like the littlest brat ever! I was sooooo mad! Sure, he was being "responsible" for knowing when he was "done," but I on the other hand was having a great time and could have burned him at the stake for ending my evening early. "You tricked me!" I yelled at him, but he was all ready passing out asleep in the passenger side chair. Oh well.

Can you tell im not bitter?

Fatties are gross? I need to weigh in. No pun intended.

Recently I was walking past my TV when I overheard some trash about an blog author from Marie Claire stating the following regarding the cast of the show Mike and Molly.

“Yes, I think I'd be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other ... because I'd be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything,”

“To be brutally honest, even in real life, I find it aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply walk across a room — just like I'd find it distressing if I saw a very drunk person stumbling across a bar or a heroine[sic] addict slumping in a chair.”

So since I know you are dying to know what I think about this, I decided to "weigh" in.

I first want to say that I do not have anything against chubbies, in fact, I myself have been a chubby bunny a couple of times in my life (following births of both kids.) I think that it is incredibly important for people to be comfortable in their own skin...no matter how much skin it may be. I also understand the health issue in regard to obesity, and am serious about it when regarding myself and my children. Do I live a perfectly healthy lifestyle? No, but my children and I are within the healthy weight range for our age and heights. That is what I care about the most.

With that said, I actually was mad when I first saw it on TV, and thought something along the lines of this "WTF? What a b%#$h! I hate Hollywood and I hate rich people who thrive on looks and can afford to look however they want while criticizing us mere mortals down to size."

After thinking about it for a while and reading a bundle of blog posts, and news reports regarding the post, I have been able to see some "good" in it. Do I agree with what she shared? No. Do I applaud her for her honesty and respect her opinion? Yes. Do I think that she is doing this just for publicity? Yes.

I think its important for people to always be up front with their opinions about everything. I also think that we would be loads happier as a society if everyone was just up front about their thoughts. Now, do I think that the post was in good taste? No, but I do think that it brings to light an opinion that perhaps many people have, and are just not willing to admit.

Now, with that said, what would I tell her if I could speak with her?

"Thank goodness you are so incredibly perfect. Some people might argue that they would rather not see YOU rolling around with someone, walking into a room, or doing just about anything else. Maybe, just maybe, after your "attention seeking" article starts to lose it's luster, you will actually see how many people are really grossed out and disgusted, by you."
