Leave it to me to express verbally...well sort of, the evil that tends to rear its ugly face in the blog world. I will first start by stating that lately, I have not been able to visit and read my daily crack of blogs. There are periods (not many,) when life goes from priority to SUPER-priority and of course, tops blogging. For the most part, I would like to think that I have "reserves," times when I spent significant time reading or browsing and commenting on my favorite blogs. There are only sooooo many I can read that have the same old mundane day to day life posts....sorry but some of the experiences are not that eventful or entertaining, but it's cool, because it's yours. I'm sure there are some of my posts, that make you want to flick me. I of course don't care, but that is waaaay besides the point. <---like most of my "pretend to be tough" stuff usually is! ha!
I have a handful of blogs I read regularly simply because they have supported me from the beginning when I had like 10 friends. <---real blog winner. I read a few regularly that have great pics of their families doing cool stuff. There are also my home school/activities blogs that I heart and get ideas from. Last but not least, there are my "bad girl" blogs. These are my extremely guilty pleasures, and lady bloggers from my own heart. These girls are honest to the core, use profanity when needed, have a sense of humor, tend to over-share, and are not afraid to go out on a limb to express an opinion...even if they are out on that limb all alone.
So, the purpose of this post, aside from me having a "serious" moment and typing my same old self righteous, shamelessly me centered stuff?
Warning, possibly perceived (although not) jealous moment coming up...
Don't be a mean blogger. Its important to show gratitude or respect to bloggers who support you. Acknowledge readers who stop by regularly and leave comments, especially comments that indicate they actually read your posts, and I'm not talking about the"hey I'm your newest follower....follow back please." Thank them for turning around and promoting your site by linking up to you and your obvious Rock Star Status!
Remember, its like any other thing...without readers...what are you really doing? Sure, you are "journaling" but would you possibly become involved with your readers if they were to all of a sudden "unfollow" you? Don't be spoiled! Don't use someones content, without even bothering to comment on their original post. Give credit where credit is due, and you will not be hunted and placed on a skewer by me.
Can I get an amen, if ya feel me?! Dee
